READING BUDDIES IN THE LIBRARY
Program suitable for kids from grade 1 through grade 6.
Are you concerned about your child’s reading level? Are you having trouble getting them to read stories? If so, let us pair them with a reading buddy at the Library. Studies show that reading with a buddy not only makes them a confident reader, it also builds self-esteem. By reading aloud, children not only practice reading but also fluency and benefit from reading in front of an audience in an authentic way.
We have recruited a wonderful team of teenage volunteers, in English and French, who are ready to be matched with your child and become their reading buddy.
