Make some yummy Cowgirl Cookies that are irresistible. Watch our tutorial on Youtube below.
Here is the recipe we used.
For the dry ingredients:
1 ½ cups of flour
1 cup of brown sugar
½ cup of white sugar
1 tsp of baking soda
1 tsp of salt
1 ½ cups of oats
As many chocolate chips as you want!
For the wet ingredients:
¾ cup of butter
1 tsp of vanilla
Preheat your oven to 350C
Mix the dry ingredients together in a big bowl or layer them in a big jar.
Add in all the wet ingredients and mix with a big spoon.
Once it’s all mixed together, use a spoon to drop the cookies on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
Bake for 13-15 minutes or until the edges of the cookies are golden brown.
Feel free to change the recipe for something that will accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions.
Once your Cowgirl cookies come out of the oven, take a picture and send it to us or show it to us at the Library and you will earn 5 participation tickets that will be entered into our grand prize draw for a Nintendo Switch™ Lite.

WANTED IN THE LIBRARY
OH NO – there are wanted bandits in the Library! We need strong cowgirls and cowboys to help bring them to justice. All week, while our branches are open, come in and attempt to catch as many bandits from the wanted posters as possible. The wanted posters are hanging in both branches and we really want you to catch them all! Once you’ve found a bandit, take a selfie with them and either email it to us or show us the pictures in person. We are counting on you to catch them and make the Clarence-Rockland Public Library a safe place once again. Remember, your selfies are going to look even better if you’re dressed up like a cowboy or cowgirl so find yourself a cowboy hat and mosey on into one of our branches!
