The Clarence-Rockland Public Library is now the COOL place to be in a heatwave.
The Clarence-Rockland Public Library is now working in partnership with the City of Clarence-Rockland to become Cooling Centres for the community during heat waves. Both branches of the Library will become Emergency Cooling Centres when a Heat Alert is issued by Environment & Climate Change Canada (ECCC) for the Clarence-Rockland region.
The CRPL as an Emergency Cooling Centre provides air-conditioned resting spaces to the public and will be open during regular business hours on the day an alert is issued.
