Novel Bunch

Project Description

Novel Bunch Book Club – Reading outside the box

Welcome to the Novel Bunch Book Club! The Club has become successful with the themed monthly readings so we will continue on with themes rather than everyone reading the same book. We hope this will entice our participants to choose a book that would be outside of their usual reading “box”! The Rockland branch hosts Novel Bunch every 4th Wednesday and discussions will begin at 6:30 pm. The book club is open to all residents of Clarence-Rockland with a Library card. If you don’t currently have a card we will be more than happy to sign you up for one on your first visit.

December’s theme – Historical Fiction

“Historical fiction presents a story set in the past, often during a significant time period. In historical fiction, the time period is an important part of the setting and often of the story itself.  Some may include fictional characters, well-known historical figures or a mixture of the two. Authors of historical fiction usually pay close attention to the details of their stories (settings, clothing, dialogue, etc.) to ensure that they fit the time periods in which the narratives take place.”
